Operational reference for installing, licensing, and safely using ReSync.

Use this page as a practical checklist before changing a Rekordbox library or a Folder Sync destination.

Important Notice (Current Build Status)

Before first use, review these requirements:

If macOS blocks first launch, run this command in Terminal:

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/ReSync.app"

What ReSync does

ReSync provides separate workflows for updating a Rekordbox library and mirroring a selected folder to another folder or drive.

The app is intentionally conservative: it emphasizes visibility, explicit review, and deliberate execution over hidden automation.

Requirements

If one requirement is missing, behavior can be limited or blocked by design to protect data integrity.

Rekordbox Library: Quick Start

  1. Install and launch ReSync.
  2. Open or import your Rekordbox library.
  3. Run Compare to detect differences against your folders.
  4. Review all proposed changes in Preview.
  5. Apply Sync only after explicit confirmation.

For first-time setup, prefer a small test subset before running broader sync operations.

Folder Sync: Quick Start

  1. Create a connection and choose its source and destination folders.
  2. Set the direction. The selected source remains read-only.
  3. Run Preview if you want to review the planned changes first.
  4. Run Sync to copy new or changed files and remove obsolete connection-managed files from the destination.
  5. Unrelated files outside the connection-managed content remain untouched.

Safe Workflow

Always keep a backup of the current Rekordbox state and selected Folder Sync destination before running a write operation.

License Basics

Check and grace windows are policy-driven and may differ by plan.

Troubleshooting

If an issue persists, include exact timing, visible error text, and the last actions taken before the problem.
